August home sales took a bit of a breather over the same period last year and over the previous month. There was still a robust number of homes that settled, 174, and single family detached homes were even with last years number, but the number of attached homes declined which made the overall numbers lower. Sale prices also remained strong with many homes selling 5% of asking price. Inventory numbers continue to be lower than previous years which helps, in part, to keeping prices up.
