“Gang members can only dream of “Tagging” as much territory as the Kilroy Gang has; during WWII our service people left the graffiti tag line “Kilroy was here” from the South Pacific to Germany. Hitler is said to have believed that “Kilroy” was a devious American Spy, but actually he was probably just a naval rivet inspector in the Philadelphia Ship Yards. Regardless of who he was or even if he was, the tag line “Kilroy was here” has been displayed in many fashions all over the world as a public statement that United States Military personnel had been there, even if Kilroy hadn’t. This weekend we should all take a moment to reflect that our Country’s Military Personnel have served, defended and died for their belief in our right to freedom and their right to write “Kilroy was here” in all the places where they have defended Freedom.
Have a nice holiday weekend everyone and don’t forget that this holiday weekend is for remembering those who have served and fought for our freedom.”
