August 2014 Market Statistics

if you were one of the many people I’ve talked to who thought the market was slower than it should be, August numbers confirmed that suspicion.  Dollar volume was down nearly 15% in Franklin county over the same period last year and over 16% in Washington county.  Meanwhile, the number of homes listed rose nearly 17% in both counties.  Not the sort of growth that was hoped for.  Click on the link above for the Excel spreadsheet.  Statistics from RBI market statistics.
