2019 Year End Statistics for Franklin County

The year end statistics have been released by Bright MLS through ShowingTime and here’s a look at some of the highlights.  Total dollar volume rose by 4.22% over 2018 to just over 358 million dollars.  The total number of homes that sold finished at 1,834 compared to 1,802 a year ago.  The breakdown was 1,527 detached and 307 attached homes.

The average price of a single family detached home in Franklin county came in at $198,529 which was actually down by .35% over the previous year.  However, the price of an attached home was up by 6.88% to just over $157,000.  That helped the overall average sell price rise by .44% to $191,592.

Homes were selling faster with the average days on market down to 66 from 99 in 2018.  Homes were selling within about 5.5% of their original list price.

The most popular price range was 150-199K- 3BR, which saw a total of 368 properties change hands.  That was followed by 200-299K-4BR at 248, and 200-299K3BR with 235.
